Mission Trips

Short-term mission trips have the power to change lives. A woman cannot pray with a widow dying of AIDS and not be changed forever. A young man can't hand-dig a foundation for a community care centre without understanding the importance of a simple, brick school house. A teen can't hold a child dying of AIDS without being reminded of their own privilege.

Join WOW on one of two mission trips to Malawi, Africa this year and experience what God is doing in WOW communities.

Trip Dates:

  • May 1 - 20, 2008
  • July 31 - August 19, 2008

Cost:

  • $4,750.00

Each trip includes:

  • Home-based care visits (volunteers team up with home-based care workers and visit the sick and the dying in their homes.)
  • Packing and delivering food and medicine
  • Sharing bible stories and health care information with widows
  • Creating memory books for families affected by HIV/AIDS
  • Praying with orphans and widows, sharing with them the love of Jesus, and encouraging them
  • 2 day / 2 night Safari

"You can't put a value on short term missions. Going and seeing these children running around in ripped clothing - they have nothing. They don't know when they'll eat. As a woman you look at your children and grandchildren. You are motivated, you have to do something. I'm trying to get women together to go on these trips.
